Saturday Harvest Festival features chili cook-off, cookie decorating and pie baking

MIDDLETOWN – From noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, Community Life is sponsoring a Harvest Festival at the Methodist Church Social Hall on Armstrong Street in Middletown.


This event features several contests – pie baking, cookie decorating (cookies will be provided), and the best chili.


Lu Lu the Clown will paint faces and hands from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and a silent and live auction to benefit James Thompson will also be held.


There is no cost for this event where participants will also be served hot dogs and drinks.


Sign up for all contests at the church office on Wednesday and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon or phone the church at 707-987-3379.


The Middletown Community United Methodist Church practices “Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors.” Where ever you are on your journey of faith, you are welcome to join them.


The church is located at the corner of Washington and Armstrong, one block off Calistoga Street east of the Middletown Post Office.
