At 9:20 a.m., the board will hold a discussion regarding the purchase of 3555 Lakeshore Blvd. in Nice. JP Morgan Mortgage Acquisition Corp. has agreed to sell the county the lakeside property, with includes a small house and pier, for $102,000.
The board previously discussed the property, the purchase of which the Lake County Planning Commission found to be in conformance with the county's general plan at its Nov. 14 meeting.
At 10:35 a.m., the board will consider Sheriff Rod Mitchell's application for a $275,000 California Emergency Management Agency Drug Enforcement Section grant. The funds are to be used for the sheriff's marijuana suppression program.
Supervisor Anthony Farrington will ask fellow board members to consider a proposed resolution supporting Repair California's ballot amendments calling a State Constitutional Convention. The matter will be discussed at 10 a.m.
In other news, at 9:10 a.m. DUI will give a presentation regarding participation by local organizations to reduce and prevent underage drinking and driving under the influence. The board also will present a proclamation designating the month of December as National Drunk and Drugged Driving Prevention Month in Lake County.
