The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St.
The city's last manager, Jerry Gillham, tendered his resignation in September following a negotiation with the city, as Lake County News has reported.
Gillham a member of the Oregon National Guard, was sent on his second deployment to Iraq in the summer of 2008, but had health issues that resulted in him being placed on a longterm medical leave.
With the announcement of Gillham's resignation, the city immediately began a recruitment to fill the position.
On Tuesday the council and city administrative staff will discuss the process as it sets about finding its third city manager. The city adopted the city manager's position in 2001.
In other news, the council is expected to approve an agreement with National Grant Services, a firm that is proposing to work on grants for the city.
The firm, whose principals have reportedly brought in millions of dollars in grant funds, made a presentation to the council last month. To get started, the firm is asking for a $1,000 retainer fee and then no further payments until it lands a grant.
The council also will consider a funding request from Mt. Konocti Facilitation, hear about energy efficient, renewable systems from Fresh Energy Systems LLC and consider an application from Clear Lake Performing Arts to hold their annual wine tasting event on Park Street from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. June 26, 2010.
Following the public portion of the meeting, the council will adjourn into closed session to discuss one case of pending litigation, City of Lakeport v. Vincent.
