AN INTERIM URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARLAKE, CALIFORNIA MAKING FINDINGS AND EXTENDING THE TEMPORARY MORATORIUM ON THE ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION OF MEDICAL MARIJUANA DISPENSARIES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Clearlake City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2009-147 on December 17, 2009. The Ordinance incorporates by reference and restates the findings contained in Ordinance No. 2009-145, establishing a moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries in the City. The purpose of Ordinance No. 2009-147 is to extend Ordinance No. 2009-145 for ten months and fifteen days in order to draft an ordinance regulating the establishment and/or operation of medical marijuana dispensaries.


The Ordinance was passed and adopted by affirmative vote of Mayor Chuck Leonard, Vice Mayor Judy Thein, Council Member Curt Giambruno, Council Member Roy Simons and Council Member Joyce Overton.
