Police volunteer Patricia McFarland will be at the department from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
McFarland said that if residents received a licensing bill from the city, they need to bring the bill with them to the department. If the rabies vaccination is checked on the bill, they'll have to bring a copy of a current certificate from their veterinarian.
If the dog has never been licensed, owners will need to bring proof of spay/neuter and rabies vaccination.
Otherwise, if they haven't received a bill, McFarland said she'll take care of the paperwork at the counter while they are at the department. She said it only takes about a minute.
For people who have been billed and haven't submitted their payment, there will be a $15 late fee after Feb. 28. New dogs and people who have not been billed won't have a late fee.
