At 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, in the council chambers at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St., Lakeport, the council will meet for a workshop on phase two of the Downtown Improvement Project.
The city's engineering consultant, RAU and Associates and Harris Design, will give a presentation on the project's current status and its design.
The workshop will be followed by the regular meeting at 6 p.m.

In public presentations, the Lakeport Main Street Association will request permission to hold multiple events, including a May 22 clean-up day, Dinner and a Movie Night on May 30, July 4 activities and Taste of Lakeport late in the summer.
Sitting jointly as the council and City of Lakeport Municipal Sewer District, council members will consider adopting a resolution approving the Sewer System Management Plan and authorizing the district director and staff to implement its provisions as required by the State Water Resources Control Board Order No. 2006-0003 – Statewide General Waste Discharge Requirements for Sanitary Sewer Systems.
In other business, the council will consider authorizing City Manager Margaret Silveira to execute agreements with RGH Consultants Inc. and Pavement Engineering Inc. for acceptance testing and independent assurance program testing services required on the Forbes Street Overlay Project.
Council members also will consider approving purchasing a new pool cleaning machine with funds to come from Measure I, the half-cent sales tax the city implemented several years ago for special projects, including the Westshore Pool.
The council also will hold a closed session to discuss Green Ranch property negotiations, administrative services director and parks maintenance worker I appointments, and to evaluate City Attorney Steve Brookes.
Coming up, the council plans to hold a budget workshop at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 25.
