State Assembly candidate Karen Brooks to appear in Upper Lake Thursday

UPPER LAKE – State Assembly candidate Karen Brooks will attend a meet and greet, hosted by the Lake County Republican Party, on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 6 p.m.

The event will take place at the Odd Fellows Hall in Upper Lake on Main Street.

Brooks will seek to unveil her Vision 2020 plan to voters of Lake County.

“Vision 2020 is all about fixing tomorrow's problems today,” Brooks said. “Since I started this campaign, I have talked to hundreds of people and driven thousands of miles, and everywhere I go I hear people tell me they want some new ideas. The politics as usual just won't fly anymore in Sacramento.”

Brooks said the campaign is about the First District and the people who reside in its communities.

Brooks is a 30-year resident of Humboldt County and is running for the California State Assembly, District 1, which represents the counties of Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Mendocino, Sonoma and Trinity.
