County begins recruitment for new District 3 planning commissioner

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The county is beginning a recruitment for a new District 3 planning commissioner.

 

Supervisor Denise Rushing is seeking applications for appointment to the Lake County Planning Commission effective in March, when current District 3 Planning Commissioner Clelia Bauer will be moving out of District 3.

 

Applicants must be residents of supervisorial District 3 in order to be eligible for appointment.

 

The Lake County Planning Commission serves as advisor to the Board of Supervisors on all planning and zoning matters in the unincorporated areas of Lake County.

 

In addition the commission acts on environmental determinations, use permits, variances and related matters.

 

The Lake County Planning Commission normally meets twice a month at the Lake County Courthouse in Lakeport.

 

Commissioners receive compensation in the amount of $150 per meeting.

 

Supervisor Rushing encourages any residents of District 3 who are interested in serving on the Planning Commission to apply for the position as soon as possible.
