Board seeks applications for quality assurance exploratory committee

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Lake County Board of Supervisors is currently seeking applicants for appointment to a committee that will be responsible for exploring and recommending options to the Board of Supervisors relative to the creation of an Office of Quality Assurance for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Sheriff Francisco Rivero is proposing that a Quality Assurance Citizens Oversight Committee be established by county ordinance.

 

The exploratory committee for which applicants are currently being sought will be responsible for drafting a proposed ordinance to present to the Board of Supervisors, through which the quality assurance program and citizens oversight committee will be formally implemented.

 

The Board of Supervisors will consider applications for appointment to the committee during the board meeting of March 1.

 

Application forms are available from the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at the County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St., Lakeport, CA 95453, or by calling the Board of Supervisors office at 707-263-2368.
