LAKEPORT, Calif. – Police are searching for an armed and dangerous suspect in an early morning stabbing Sunday in Lakeport that left two people injured.

Lakeport Police Sgt. Jason Ferguson reported that the police are looking for Ronald James Blesio, 34, in connection with the early incident.

At 1:30 a.m. Sunday Lakeport Police officers responded to the Shell gas station at 975 S. Main St. on a report of multiple stabbing victims, Ferguson said.

When they arrived at the scene, Ferguson said the officers located the first victim lying on the ground near the north door of the gas station, while the second victim was located standing in the parking lot.

He said both victims were transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital where the first victim was air lifted to Santa Rosa Medical Center.

Through witness accounts at the scene, Ferguson said officers learned that the suspect had confronted the victims outside the business where a fight ensued.

At some point during the struggle both victims were stabbed, one in the right upper arm and the second in the chest, before the suspect fled the scene in a dark colored Toyota coupe bearing the license plate

number 3KKY990, Ferguson said.

Officers sealed off the parking lot and conducted their investigation throughout the morning, and developed information which led to the positive identification of the suspect as Blesio, Ferguson reported.

Ferguson said that due to the seriousness of the crime, the District Attorney’s Office was notified and is assisting in the ongoing investigation.

He said Ronald Blesio is considered armed and dangerous and is currently being sought for two

counts of attempted murder.

If Blesio is spotted call 911.
