Clearlake City Council to consider interim finance director contract

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The Clearlake City Council will discuss approving a contract for the city's interim finance director when it meets this week.

The council will meet beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 in the council chambers at Clearlake City Hall, 14050 Olympic Drive.

The only business item on the agenda is the consideration of the contract for the interim director of finance services.

City Clerk Melissa Swanson did not have a copy of the proposed contract ready for public release on Tuesday.

However, Swanson said that the contract is not with Michael Vivrette, who has been serving as interim finance director this year. He was the city's finance director before he left last year while Dale Neiman was city administrator.

Also on the short Thursday agenda is the second reading and adoption of an ordinance allowing for remote caller bingo games for nonprofits to raise funds, which is on the consent agenda. The council approved the ordinance's first reading at its Aug. 11 meeting.
