SUMMARY OF ADOPTED ORDINANCE NO. 2958



NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors, County of Lake, State of California, adopted Ordinance No. 2958 amending Article II of Chapter 2 of the Lake County Code establishing the boundaries of the Supervisorial Districts for the County of Lake pursuant to Sections 21500 et seq. of the Elections Code. A certified copy of the adopted Ordinance is available at the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.


This ordinance adjusts the supervisorial districts so that the districts shall be as nearly equal in population as possible and shall be in compliance with federal statutory requirements protecting the voting strength of racial, ethnic and language minorities.


This ordinance was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, by the following vote:


AYES: Supervisors Smith, Rushing, Farrington, Brown and Comstock


NOES: None


ABSENT OR NOT VOTING: None


This ordinance will take effect on October 20, 2011.
