Oversight board to discuss transferring redevelopment property to city of Lakeport

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Oversight Board of the Former Lakeport Redevelopment Agency will meet this coming week to consider budget issues as well as transferring redevelopment holdings back to the city.

The board will meet beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, April 9, in the council chambers at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St., Lakeport.

The oversight board met on Wednesday, at which time the members took their oaths, appointed board leadership, adopted a budget, and had an overview the board's responsibilities and the law abolishing redevelopment agencies ABX1 26.

At the April 9 meeting, the oversight board is expected to ratify the transfer of an agency-owned property on Bevins Court to the city of Lakeport.

Also to be transferred to the city are bond proceeds to complete the Downtown Lakeport Project.

In other business, the oversight board will review the redevelopment fund balance and assets, establish a successor agency reserve fund, adopt the administrative budget for the redevelopment successor agency and approve the Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule.
