City issues permit for new paint store

LAKEPORT – The City of Lakeport has issued a building permit for the construction of a new 2,639 square foot retail store at 555 South Main St.

The new building, when completed, will house the Plaza Paint store owned by Jason and Kristen Soderquist, according to a report from city Community Development Director Richard Knoll.

The $325,000 building will be a single-story structure with a stucco exterior and will feature an elevated clock tower topped with a copper dome at the northeast corner, Knoll reported. Parking for 11 cars will be provided on site.

The project was approved by the Lakeport Planning Commission in August and the building permit was issued on Nov. 7, according to Knoll's report.
