KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Lake County Farm Bureau will be holding their 89th annual meeting and dinner on Thursday, July 12, at the Cole Creek Equestrian Center.
The program will include the introduction of the 2012-13 directors, provide a recap of the past year's accomplishments and allow directors to share plans for the future.
The program also includes a presentation to the 2012 Lake County Farm Bureau Scholarship winners, Lindee Mae Jones of Middletown and Karen Gonzalez Recinos of Kelseyville.
Directors have selected Chuck March as this year’s recipient of the Annual Agricultural Appreciation Award.
March will be at the event to receive this award honoring his years of service to agriculture in Lake County.
The keynote speaker, District 5 Supervisor Rob Brown, will focus on the importance of cultivating the next generation of leaders to ensure the future success of agriculture.
A wine social sponsored by the Lake County Winery Association kicks off the evening at 5:30 p.m. A delicious tri-tip and chicken dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., prepared by the Kelseyville FFA. The Kelseyville Boy Scout Troop No. 45 will be on hand for assistance at the event.
