NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Lake, State of California, will hold a public hearing on a proposed RESOLUTION CALLING AN ELECTION TO SUBMIT TO THE ELECTORS A MEASURE TO ADOPT AN ORDINANCE ADDING ARTICLE II TO CHAPTER 18 OF THE LAKE COUNTY CODE IMPOSING A TRANSACTION AND USE TAX PURSUANT TO REVENUE AND TAXATION CODE SECTION 7285.5 OF ONE-HALF OF ONE PERCENT FOR THE LAKE COUNTY INVASIVE SPECIES, NUISANCE AQUATIC WEED AND ALGAE, AND WATER QUALITY PROGRAMS AND ESTABLISHING AN EXPENDITURE PLAN FOR THE REVENUES GENERATED.

A certified copy of the proposed Resolution is available in the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.

The public hearing will be held in the Board of Supervisors’ Chamber in the Courthouse on Tuesday, August 7, at 10:00 AM, at which time and place interested persons may attend and be heard.

If you challenge the action of the Board of Supervisors on any of the above stated items in court, it may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Lake County Board of Supervisors at, or prior to, the public hearing.
