NORTHERN CALIFORNIA – A workshop on small farm direct marketing and business essentials will be held in Colusa on Thursday, March 7.
The Colusa County Resource Conservation District is hosting the free workshop, which is open to all small farmers in the region.
It will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Colusa Industrial Park, 100 Sunrise Blvd.
Topics will include alternative markets for small scale growers, farmers market certification, top 10 things to know to run a viable business, the new cottage food law, a new “tool chest” for small farm operators, direct marketing regulations and a growers’ panel.
