I fully support Supervisors Anthony Farrington and Rob Brown in asking the full Board of Supervisors for a vote of no confidence in our sheriff on Tuesday, March 19.
District Attorney Don Anderson’s Brady finding and the Honorable Judge Lamb’s ruling that it is public information has rightfully confirmed that our sheriff’s “reputation is severely injured and his ability to continue to serve as sheriff or in other law enforcement capacities has been nullified.”
This is interpreted as, Sheriff Frank Rivero must resign his position as sheriff, as he can no longer fulfill the duties of sheriff and has violated the oath he promised to uphold.
I just used the words of our sheriff’s lawyers in his motion to keep the district attorney’s Brady findings under wraps … the lawyers who have billed us over $52,000.
The Brady listing is a serious matter and historically means the end of an officer’s career.
Apparently Lake County now has the distinction of having the only elected sheriff ever to be branded as a Brady officer.
Please join me in supporting the Board of Supervisors in their vote of no confidence.
