Lake County Farm Bureau schedules heat illness prevention training

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Lake County Farm Bureau (LCFB) is scheduling a heat illness prevention training.

The trainings will be presented by State Fund Compensation Insurance and Cal/OSHA representatives.  

One session will be taught in English and one session will be conducted in Spanish.

California employers are required to train all employees and supervisors about heat illness prevention.  State Fund Compensation Insurance and Cal/OSHA will present up to date requirements for protecting employees from heat related illnesses.  

Owners, supervisors and trainers who are responsible for employee training and safety should attend.

The workshops will be held at Lake County Farm Bureau office located at 65 Soda Bay Road in Lakeport.  

Two sessions will be held, each session on a different date.  

The first session, taught in English, will be held on Tuesday, May 27, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The second session, taught in Spanish, will be held on Wednesday, May 28, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Please note the specific dates for each session.

If you are a Farm Bureau member, the cost is $15 per person. The cost for non-Farm Bureau attendance is $50.
