KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Lake County Horse Council is partnering up with the Kelseyville Pear Festival again this year for the third annual Horse Faire.
The faire will feature live round pen demonstrations, providing the public an opportunity to learn more about horses.
Just over a dozen different horses and other equine will be on site spanning from the very large Percheron drafts to the miniature horse, miniature donkey and pony.
Several gaited breeds will be represented as well as Quarter Horse, Mustang, Mule, Arabian, Thoroughbred, Gypsy Vanner, Azteca and Norwegian Fjord Horse.
The very popular Kiddie Korral returns this year with wooden horses to ride and steers to rope along with games and prizes for the kids.
In addition, a veterinarian will hold demonstrations on taking a horse’s vital signs and a barefoot trimmer will demonstrate how to take care of horses hooves.
The Horse Faire will again be located on the corner of Fourth and Main streets, next to the Kelseyville Fire Department.
