Nine vehicles at six different locations were were targeted, said Rasmussen.
The suspect – or suspects – hit a residential area between Hartley Street and 16th Street, and Anastasia Drive, said Rasmussen, where only gasoline was taken from the vehicles.
Police estimate approximately $150 worth of gasoline was stolen by using a siphon hose and portable container.
The targeted commercial area was Parallel Drive and Craig Avenue, where Rasmussen said tools and equipment valued at approximately $1,850 – in addition to gasoline – were taken.
On April 21, the department spent significant time investigating the thefts and developed some leads, including recovered evidence that may lead to arrests, said Rasmussen.
Investigating officers believe there may be additional gasoline thefts that are not yet reported, according to Rasmussen.
