LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Clearlake City Council confirmed assessments for administrative penalties for failure to abate public nuisances on seven properties in the city, totaling $32,500.
A public hearing was held March 26 during which property owners were provided the opportunity to protest and/or address the council concerning the orders.
Two property owners spoke, however, the council did not grant any extensions or waive any penalties.
The following assessments, presented by Code Enforcement Officer Lee Lambert, were confirmed:
– Property located at 16223 31st Ave., owned by Ginny Robinson. Penalty: $7,500.
– Property located at 5768 Crawford Ave., owned by Elaine Goodrich. Penalty: $2,500.
– Property located at 5729 Crawford Ave., owned by Raymond Peterson. Penalty: $7,500.
– Property located at 14718 Emory Ave., owned by Claudia Schilling. Penalty: $7,500.
– Property located at 13633 Sonoma Ave., owned by Claire Holmes. Penalty: $2,500.
– Property located at 16318 28th Ave., owned by Sami Arod. Penalty: $2,500.
– Property located at 14473 Ridge Road, owned by Venoma P. Gill. Penalty: $2,500.
Administrative penalties that remain unpaid will become a lien against the property and may become a special assessment on the tax roll.
