KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Kelseyville Pear Festival Committee invited local Lake County artists to take part in a poster competition as part of the the 23rd Kelseyville Pear Festival.
This popular festival is one of the most widely attended events on the Lake County calendar. It is held on the last Saturday in September, this year's date being Sept. 26.
There were a wide number and range of wonderful artworks submitted, and the committee thanked all those who entered.
The prize winning artists have been selected from both the entries from Kelseyville High School (under 18 category) and from the general public.
All the winning entrants have been presented with their prizes by Marilyn Holdenried and Sharron Zoller, co-chairs of the Kelseyville Pear Festival.
The overall winning entry and first prize of $500 went to Diane Tembey Stawicki.
Kelseyville High School's winners included: first place and a prize of $100, Kimberlyn Bridges, “Pear Capital of the World”; second prize and $75, Janette Calvillo, “Pear Reflection”; and third prize and $50, Craig Andre, “View from above.”
