CLEARLAKE – The Clearlake City Council will look at a bond proposal at its Thursday night meeting.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 14050 Olympic Drive. The council will convene for a closed session to discuss one case of potential litigation at 5:30 p.m.

The council will hold a public hearing to consider issuing revenue bonds by the California Statewide Communities Development Authority to assist in financing the acquisition, rehabilitation and development of 91 apartment units commonly known as Clearlake Commons and Clearlake Village.

The council will hold a public hearing to consider transfer program income from the Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund to the Housing Rehab Revolving Loan Fund, consider establishing a loan committee and a minimum equity standard for the Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund, and look at rejecting a claim for $1,467.50 submitted by Edward Allen on April 28.

The excess surplus in the housing fund will be back on the agenda, after having been postponed at the last meeting.

The South Shore Little League will make a presentation and ask the city for assistance, and the council also will consider giving financial assistance to the inaugural Youth Fishing Derby.

The council will present three proclamations, one of appreciation to Cathy Wilson, who organized a city cleanup in April; recognition of Public Works Week, May 18 through May 24; and a proclamation recognizing May 2008 as Motorcycle Awareness Month.
