CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Plans are under way to provide a free community dinner on Christmas day in Clearlake, with organizers seeking donations.
Joyce Overton, a Clearlake City Council member and director of the Highlands Senior Center, said she is part of a group that has decided to hold a Christmas dinner at the Youth Center on Christmas Day.
An old-fashioned Christmas dinner is planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 25, at the Youth Center at 4750 Golf Ave.
Overton said they are seeking donations of items including turkeys, potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes, celery, carrots, gravy mix, veggies, dinner rolls, desserts, salad dressing of all types, plastic plates, silver wear, napkins and drinks.
