MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – The Middletown Area Town Hall will kick off 2017 by electing new board members, discussing a new bocce league and hearing the latest on the Gibson Museum.
MATH will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Middletown Community Center, 21256 Washington St.
Meetings are open to the community, and offer the opportunity for additional public input on items not included on the agenda.
The meeting's main item of business is the election of officers. Nominees are current Chair Fletcher Thornton, along with Marlene Elder and Lisa Kaplan.
Also on Thursday, Mike Tabacchi will give a presentation on a proposed Valley fire plaque for the park and Robert Battaile will speak to the group about the formation of the Middletown Bocce League Robert Battaile.
Voris Brumfield also will give the group an update on the transfer of the Gibson Museum from the Lake County Historical Society to the Lake County Museum System.
The MATH Board includes Chair Fletcher Thornton, Vice Chair Claude Brown, Secretary Margaret Greenley, and members Linda Diehl-Darms and Gregg Van Oss.
MATH – established by resolution of the Lake County Board of Supervisors on Dec. 12, 2006 – is a municipal advisory council serving the residents of Anderson Springs, Cobb, Coyote Valley (including Hidden Valley Lake), Long Valley and Middletown.
