CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The Clearlake City Council this week will honor the contributions of black Americans and hear the latest annual report from the Clearlake Police Department.
The council will meet beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the council chambers at Clearlake City Hall, 14050 Olympic Drive.
At the start of the meeting the council will present a proclamation declaring February 2017 as Black History Month.
The Clearlake Police Department also will present to the council its annual report.
In other business, Patty Bruder of North Coast Opportunities, Mike Dean of the Lake County Community Action Group and Joe Bennett of the Lake County Council of Church Women United Shoe Program will give the council an update on community involvement.
The council also will consider modifications to the mayor's 2017 appointments and the FPPC Form 806, and confirm the mayor's appointments to the Code Enforcement Ad Hoc Committee and the Universal Garbage Ad Hoc Committee.
On the meeting's consent agenda – items considered noncontroversial and usually accepted as a slate on one vote – are warrant registers.
