LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a generator stolen from the department’s former headquarters.
The agency reported that sometime between Wednesday night and early Friday morning, unknown subjects broke into a steel enclosure and stole a generator from the former police facility on N. Forbes Street.
The generator is a red and black Honda EM3500SX.
“Unfortunately it appears that since we moved out these thieves believed they could take whatever they wanted,” the department said in a written statement.
The police department asked for information leading to the generator’s recovery.
“The thieves should be aware that we are working leads and expect to find them so they may wish to return the generator,” the department said.
Anyone with information can call 707-263-5491 and ask to talk with an officer, send a private Facebook message to the department or send an anonymous tip but texting the words TIP LAKEPORT followed by your message to 888777.
