CLEARLAKE, Calif. – As the marijuana cultivation season quickly approaches, the city of Clearlake is reminding citizens that in order to cultivate marijuana outdoors, they must first register with the city.
Registrations are currently open through May 1, 2017.
In order to register your property as an outdoor cultivation site, you must obtain a cultivation registration application, complete it and return it to the city of Clearlake between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
There is currently a fee of $150 to register.
When returning a registration application to the city of Clearlake, you must bring the following documentation:
– Notarized signature from the owner of the property consenting to the cultivation of marijuana at the premises on a form acceptable to the city, if the property is not owner occupied.
– The name of each person owning, leasing, occupying or having charge of any legal parcel or premises where marijuana will be cultivated.
– A valid photo ID.
– Proof of residence for the person who occupies the home.
– The physical site address of where the marijuana will be cultivated with a drawing, to scale, and detailed description of where on the property the marijuana will be cultivated.
No more than six plants may be cultivated outdoors.
