HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – Authorities have taken a man into custody in connection to a Tuesday night shooting in Hidden Valley Lake that left one woman dead.
Sheriff Brian Martin confirmed to Lake County News late Tuesday that detectives were investigating a homicide at a residence on Spyglass Road.
At 8:15 p.m. Cal Fire and South Lake County Fire units were dispatched to home in the 18000 block of Spyglass Road, according to Battalion Chief Mike Wink.
Cal Fire’s dispatch initially notified units to stage away from the scene, and a REACH air ambulance was requested shortly afterward.
However, Wink said the assistance of paramedics was not needed and no victim was transported.
Martin confirmed that deputies who arrived at the scene found an adult female who had died after being shot. There were no other victims.
He said deputies had taken an adult male subject into custody.
While the investigation was in the early stages late Tuesday, Martin said there were no other suspects.
