LAKEPORT – In an effort to provide opportunities for the public to hear Lakeport City Council hopefuls state their positions on various topics, the Lakeport Regional Chamber is sponsoring a “Meet the Candidates” night.

The event will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, in the council chambers at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St.

Running for three seats on the Lakeport City Council this year are Virginia Ingersoll, Suzanne Lyons, Roy Parmentier (incumbent), Robert Rumfelt (incumbent), Marc Spillman and George Spurr.

Elizabeth Larson of www.lakeconews.com will moderate.
