The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the board chambers in the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St.
At 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. the board will hold two public hearings for appeals of vicious animal abatement orders.
The first hearing will be in the case of Marion Quitiquit of Lucerne.
Quitiquit is appealing the order against her two dogs, a male Rottweiler and a male shepherd/chow mix, which allegedly broke through the fence to attack another dog being walked past the yard by its owner.
In the second hearing, Ericka Tedsen of Nice is seeking an appeal for her two pit bull mixes.
In Tedsen's case, the dogs were reportedly out of their yard and aggressively chasing vehicles by the house. Animal Care and Control also reported receiving multiple witness statements about the dogs being out of their yard on other occasions and cornering neighbors on their own property. One of the dogs had a bit in Mendocino County in June.
