The board will meet beginning at 9 a.m. on March 24 in the board chambers at the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St. TV Channel 8 will broadcast the meeting live.
At 9:30 a.m., the board will receive the report on possible uses for the area's vacant pear sheds.
The study was commissioned by the county to help find ways to utilize the facilities. The county currently has only a few pear sheds the remain in active use.
At 10 a.m., the board will present a proclamation designating April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Lake County. Afterward, at 10:05 a.m., a proclamation will be presented naming April 23 as “Denim
Awareness Day” and the month of April as “Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Lake County.”

9:15 a.m.: Public hearing to consider a proposed resolution conveying a 1987 Humvee utility truck from the county of Lake to the Benicia Police Department.

– Update on the emergency action taken by the Lake County Board of Supervisors on Dec. 9, 2008, declaring the continuance of the existing local emergency in regards to the court order issued by the Sacramento Superior Court which prohibits fish stocking by the Department of Fish and Game in
water bodies in Lake County.
Consent agenda items:
– Adopt a resolution and notice of intention to sell a 3.04-acre parcel located at 14102 East Highway 20, Clearlake Oaks; the minimum bid price of the real property is $153,000 and a 5-percent commission will be provided to a licensed real estate broker who submits the highest bid and set May 19 at 9:15 a.m., as time and place where sealed bids and oral bids shall be received and considered.
– Adopt resolution accepting conveyance of real property located at 16399 21st Ave., Clearlake.
– Adopt resolution amending Resolution No. 2008-153, establishing position allocations for Fiscal Year 2008/2009, Budget Unit No. 2110 - District Attorney, adding one full-time district attorney position).
– Approve agreement between the county of Lake and Keller Group Office Environments for the purchase of work stations and file systems for the County Clerk/Auditor-Controller and Elections departments in the amount of $36,000, and authorize the Chair to sign.
The board also will hold a closed session to discuss labor negotiations and existing litigation, DeLuca v. County of Lake, et al.
