
MIDDLETOWN – County Public Services Director Kim Clymire announced on Friday that the tennis court next to the Middletown Pool was completed this week and open to the public for play.
The contract for resurfacing the tennis court next to the Middletown Pool was awarded to Siri Grading & Paving of Santa Rosa.
In addition, the Middletown Pool opened Wednesday, June 17, and will remain open for recreational swimming Wednesdays through Sundays 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. is adult swim through Sunday, Aug. 23.
Pool patrons 10 years and under must be accompanied by an adult 15 years of age or older.
Hardester’s Market in Middletown has once again generously agreed to donate free swim passes for children who are 12 years of age and under.
Passes may be obtained by simply dropping by the Middletown Hardester’s Store and picking a pass up prior to going to the pool.
Hardester's has donated $31,031 in free pool passes to Middletown children since 1988.
Pool fees are children under 12 years old, $1.25; and 13 years and older, $2.
Season passes are available for individuals for $40 and families (immediate family members only) for $80.
For schools, nonprofits and private group rates, attendance of 25 and under with a lifeguard, $100 per hour; attendance of over 25 but less then 50, $150 per hour with lifeguards.
