NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake, State of California, will hold a public hearing on Design Review Permit for application UP 15-08, proposing construction of a +/- 9,100 square foot retail store.

The project applicant is CROSS DEVELOPMENT on behalf of DOLLAR GENERAL. 

The Planning Commission will consider adoption of a mitigated negative declaration for this project based on Initial Study IS 15-10, available Nov. 15, 2016.

The project is located at 20900 State Highway 29, Middletown, CA, and further described as APN 024-301-18.

The staff report will be available Nov. 28, 2016, at the Community Development Department, Lake County Courthouse, 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA.

The public hearing will be held in the Board of Supervisors’ Chamber in the Courthouse on Dec. 8, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., at which time and place interested persons may attend and be heard.

If you challenge the action of the Planning Commission on any of the above stated items in court, it may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Lake County Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – On Halloween, Clearlake City Hall was the location of the annual “trick or treat party” for local children hosted by the city of Clearlake and made possible by the donations of many.

“This was another great event made possible by the generosity of many individuals and organizations who volunteered or contributed goodies for the kids,” said City Clerk Melissa Swanson.

More than 300 reflective treat bags stuffed with candy and toys were given out in three hours. Cecil’s Pizza generously donated 24 large cheese and pepperoni pizzas.

“Thank you to everyone who made this 100-percent volunteer and donation-funded event a success this year and we look forward to next year!” said City Manager Greg Folsom.

The following individuals and organizations contributed money, goodies, or other assistance to the event: Clearlake Police Officer’s Association, Cecil’s Pizza, Foods Etc., Chuck and Vicki Leonard, Karen and Dale Valentine, Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, Clearlake Automotive, Walmart, A & B Collision, Clearlake Police School Resource Officers Joseph Myer and Stephanie Green, Joann Cox, Cheryl Hutchison, Kathleen Stuart, and the Konocti Unified School District, along with many other donors who wished to remain anonymous.
