LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport Police Department advises the public to use caution in the area of South Main Street and Grace Lane through Friday evening due to a current traffic issue.

A vehicle crash near the intersection caused telephone lines to sag low, causing a safety hazard for vehicles, the agency said.

Police said residents and business exiting Grace Lane will be detoured through the Hospice Services parking lot until the utility company can replace a pole and reset the lines.

All other drivers should avoid the area of South Main Street to Grace Lane, according to police.
