Between 4 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. there were approximately 17 accidents reported around Lake County, according to the California Highway Patrol's incident logs, including two solo vehicle rollovers, two head-ons and once accident that involved three vehicles.
No serious injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
The problem may have been icy roads from cold nights, along with snow that fell in some parts of the county Tuesday night.
There were frequent reports of icy roadways causing traffic hazards and resulting in vehicle spin-outs. Ice was reported on roads in the Rivieras, on Socrates Mine Road and Morgan Valley Road, and in Scotts Valley.
It appears, though, that the weather will be slightly warmer in the coming days, which may help deal with ice on the roadways.
The forecast for the next few days is mostly sunny and in the 50s, with night time temperatures in the 30s.
Keeping in mind the recent spate of accidents, drivers should exercise caution while traveling.
