LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – A head-on collision near the Cache Creek Bridge on Highway 20 Monday afternoon resulted in major injuries.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash, which was first reported at approximately 1:14 p.m., according to initial reports from the California Highway Patrol.
The collision blocked the highway, and highway signs were used to warn drivers to use alternate routes, the CHP reported.
Northshore Fire and Cal Fire responded to the scene along with the CHP, the reports said.
Reports from the scene indicated that four air ambulances were called to the scene to transport patients.
Highway 20 was reported to have been reopened shortly before 2:30 p.m.
