Local businesses apply for $250,000 grants

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – A number of local businesses are applying to take part in a competition for $250,000 business grants.

The “Mission: Small Business” grant competition, sponsored by Chase and LivingSocial, is winding up this Saturday, June 30.

To qualify to be considered for a grant, businesses must receive a minimum of 250 votes.

Community members can sign up at www.missionsmallbusiness.com to vote.

Each voter can only vote for a business one time, but they may cast votes for multiple businesses.

Businesses can be found either according to city location or by name.

Lake County businesses in the running – as of Tuesday night – are listed below, along with their city and the name under which they are registered.
