CLEARLAKE OAKS, Calif. – A wildland fire burning east of Clearlake Oaks is nearing full containment, after firefighting efforts were stepped up during the day on Saturday.
The Double Fire, which began early Friday evening along Highway 20 at Mule Skinner Road, has burned 70 acres, and was reported to be 80 percent contained Saturday night, according to Cal Fire.
Cal Fire Battalion Chief Greg Bertelli told Lake County News that the cause was under investigation.
