The Kelsey fire began shortly before 2 p.m. Monday in the 9500 block of Kelsey Creek Drive near Conklin Lane and Carder Road, as Lake County News has reported.
The fire burned close to homes and led to a short-term mandatory evacuation of residences in the area.
There were no structures damaged or destroyed, incident command reported.
Late Monday, the fire remained at 75 percent containment, with units reported to be staying on scene overnight.
Incident command reported from the scene on Monday night that the main fire was mapped at 23.5 acres, with the three small spot fires that were part of the incident totaling just over an additional half acre.
There has been no report yet on the fire’s cause.
