A winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service for Lake County is in effect from 10 p.m. Monday to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
On Tuesday, temperatures are expected to drop into the low 40s during the day and the high 29s at night, raising the possibility of snow at around the 2,000 foot elevation level.
The rain is helping to raise Clear Lake’s level.
Early Monday, the lake was at 6.89 feet Rumsey, the special measure for Clear Lake.
While it’s on the rise, the lake still has a way to go to reach the level at this time last year.
Historical data for the United States Geological Survey’s gauge on Clear Lake shows the lake level on this date last year was 8.31 feet Rumsey.
