LAKEPORT, Calif. – The 1950 animated musical, “Cinderella,” screens at the Soper Reese Theatre on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 1 and 6 p.m.

Entry to the film is by donation.

This Walt Disney gem set the standard for what is commonly accepted today as the classic fairy tale, beautifully and meticulously illustrated by Walt’s farm of gifted animators.

The score has become a classic as well, with songs the whole family will know by heart, such as “Some Day My Prince Will Come,” “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo” and “A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes.”

And can there be any one symbol better than the famous glass slipper to conjure up the romantic ideal of “happily ever after”?
