LAKEPORT – The Celtic harp trio Triskela’s Saturday, April 17, performance at the Soper-Reese Theatre in Lakeport, beginning at 7 p.m., will be enhanced by the addition of local harpist Linda Brown.
She will be performing in the lobby prior to the Triskela’s show and will be a welcoming prelude to a captivating evening of music.
Brown was inspired to take up the harp after hearing Triskela perform in Lake County in 1997.
Playing a Celtic style lever harp, she has contributed uplifting harp music to many local events including Renaissance fairs, farmers’ markets and weddings.
Uncorked, a newly formed local Celtic band with members Eleanor Cook, Andi Skelton, Teale Love, Don Coffin, Dan Harris, Dennis Hadley and Greg Bushta, will open the show, providing an energetic performance of Irish waltzes, jigs and reels.
Triskela follows with their stirring blend of Celtic and world music choices. Their wide range of compositions is performed on hand-made harps accompanied by three-part vocals, flute, penny whistle and an assortment of percussion instruments.
Versatile musicians Diana Stork, Portia Diwa and Shawna Spiteri combine their musical talents to create a breathtaking performance.
Tickets for this evening of inspiring performances are available at Catfish Books in Lakeport and Wild About Books in Clearlake.
In addition, tickets can be purchased online at www.SoperReeseTheatre.com, and the Soper-Reese Box Office at 275 S. Main St., Lakeport, which is open Thursdays from noon to 5 p.m. or can be reached at 707-263-0577.
