MIDDLETOWN – Twin Pine Casino has a number of events and contests that it will feature in January and February.

January's special event is a big screen television giveaway. Every Thursday from Jan. 3 to Jan. 31, between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., the casino will hold ticket drawings for a 42-inch plasma or LCD flat-screen, high-definition television.

From Jan. 5 through Feb. 14, casino visitors can take part in drawings to win a 2008 Pontiac Solstice. Ticket drawings for a special “qualifying key” will be held every Wednesday between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. and every Saturday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Collect entry tickets starting Jan. 1 from games played or from the casino's special hot seat drawings from Sunday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On Valentine's Day – Thursday, Feb. 14 – the final two qualifying keys will be awarded between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. – and then each key qualifier gets a chance to pick the one key that unlocks the automobile.

In January and February, Twin Pine will give away 200 $50 Shell gift cards for goods at Shell locations around the US. Every day the casino will host hot seat drawings for players to win one of the cards.

February's special event will be a $15,000 cash giveaway. Between Feb. 15 and Feb. 29 daily drawings will be held at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The 8 p.m. drawings will start at $500 and increase by $500 for each time a ticket is drawn but the winner is absent. Amounts can quickly add up to thousands of dollars, and one ticket can take it all. The 10 p.m. drawings will be just like the earlier drawings, with $500 increases. The casino guarantees it will give away $15,000 in the drawings.

Twin Pine reports that the casino's new games have arrived, including the Wheel of Fortune Video, a 1 cent multi-level progressive game, and the Indiana Jones 5-cent multi-level progressive game.
