LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — The Lake County Office of Emergency Services, or OES, and the Lake County Chamber of Commerce and Lake County Economic Development Corp. will host “Before the Smoke: A Lake County Business Preparedness Forum.”
The forum will be held on Monday, June 22, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Kelseyville Presbyterian Church, 4021 Church St.
Attendance is free, and registration is required.
The free community event is designed to connect local businesses with the resources, agencies, and relationships needed to prepare for and recover from disaster.
Lake County businesses face recurring threats from wildfires, power outages, and other emergencies.
This event is intended to help business owners act before disaster strikes — building the knowledge, contacts, and plans that can mean the difference between a business that survives a crisis and one that doesn’t.
Confirmed participating organizations include the Lake County Fire Chief’s Association, Cal Fire and the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, or Cal OES.
Additional agenda details and presenters will be announced as the event date approaches.
Business owners, managers, and operators of all industries are encouraged to attend.
Space is limited and registration is recommended, but not required, to secure a spot.
