LAKEPORT, Calif. –The Lake County Chamber of Commerce is asking for help from its members and the residents of Lake County.
A visitor asks or says, “What should I do or see if I only have one hour to spend in Lake County?”
The chamber also gets requests from people who have a day, three days or a week to spend in the county.
They have visitors from all over the world who regularly asked these very questions.
To date this summer the traveler who has visited from the farthest away came from South Africa, while the second farthest came from Australia. The chamber also reported that they get visitors from all over California, Washington and Oregon, and many other states and countries.

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Lake One-Stop Inc. is co-sponsoring a job fair on Thursday, Sept. 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lake County Community Action Agency, 15312 Lakeshore Drive, Clearlake.
Those interested in employment should be prepared to interview on-the-spot during the recruiting event.
Tallman Hotel & Blue Wing Saloon will be recruiting for hospitality workers: bartender, cook, floor manager (restaurant) and assistant manager (hotel). Wages range from $9 to $14 per hour.
U.S. Cellular is recruiting for positions at several locations: Clearlake, Crescent City, Eureka and Ukiah. They will be recruiting for retail wireless consultants and sales managers. Wages will vary.
Loch Lomond Roadhouse is looking for hospitality workers, bartender and wait staff/servers. Wages will vary.
Konocti Vista Casino Resort and Marina will be recruiting for a variety of positions.
County of Lake will be recruiting for a physical therapist, mental health case manager/Hispanic outreach and engagement specialist, water resources office coordinator, and a engineering tech.
Tower Mart will be recruiting for several positions at locations throughout Lake County.
