LAKE COUNTY – Popular television program “Eye on the Bay” will air a Clear Lake travelogue on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. on San Francisco’s KPIX Channel 5 with featured stops that include the Featherbed Railroad, a unique bed and breakfast that features themed rooms in historic antique railroad cabooses.
Eye on the Bay’s Liam Mayclem spent an afternoon at the Featherbed Railroad touring the unique themed suites crafted from antique railroad cabooses.
The Clear Lake travelogue should give locals a new perspective on the area and is hoped to bring new visitors to this burgeoning wine-growing region of California. With agritourism, wine growing, water sports, fishing and history, Lake County has become an increasingly popular destination for families, wine enthusiasts and those seeking a more relaxed pace.
During the visit, Mayclem spent time interviewing Featherbed TRAINee Tony Barthel who is no stranger to on-camera interviews. While there is no telling how many of the funny comments will actually make the air, the number of puns exchanged by the two would make even seasoned comedians groan.
The Featherbed Railroad will host a viewing party on Nov. 20 with free popcorn and snacks. Reservations are required and can be made on the Featherbed Railroad Web site at www.featherbedrailroad.com.
