LAKE COUNTY – Members of the Lake County Chapter of California Women for Agriculture recently participated in the organization's annual statewide meeting in Sacramento.

Chapter President Toni Scully and Janine Grothe, both of Lakeport, talked with state CWA President Celeste Settrini, in front of the governor's office in the state capitol.

During a day-long session, the local women also met with Assemblyman Wes Chesbro, staff from the office of Assemblywoman Noreen Evans and with several urban legislators.

Members of the all-volunteer organization were at the capitol to present information about the Williamson Act and other agricultural issues to elected members of the Legislature and their staff.
