Marsh becomes Eagle Scout

NICE, Calif. – Scout Troop 353 of Ukiah is proud to announce that Nice resident Sammie D Marsh Jr. became an Eagle Scout at his Court of Honor in June.


Marsh is a member of the Order of the Arrow, started his scouting career on Nov. 15, 2005, with his mentor Scout Master Will Moebest.


Although his favorite badge was for First Aid, he also received a Religious Medal, was Senior Patrol Leader March 2009 and was elected Troop Youth Leader in 2010.


He enjoyed attending National Youth Leader Training and is currently working as assistant scoutmaster under the leadership of his Scout Master Will Butler.


His sponsor is St. Peter’s Eastern Catholic Church, which is his place of worship.


This wonderful young man was born Aug. 25, 1993, to his proud parents Kimberly and Sammie D Marsh Sr.


He has been home schooled his entire life with his six younger siblings, including one brother and five sisters.


He is now studying administration of justice at Mendocino Community College.
